YEREVAN. – The Armenian Embassy in Moscow is in constant contact with the legal defenders of Hrachya Harutyunyan, to provide him possible assistance, states the official Facebook page of the Armenian MFA.   

“At present, Hrachya Harutyunyan is in hospital where, according to the investigators, there is no need for clothes. We will inform further about the new developments,” the MFA notes.   

The ministry, however, did not specify on the measures that are taken to protest against Harutyunyan’s humiliation in the courtroom.   

To note, a truck crashed into a passenger bus on July 13 outside Moscow, and it was found out that the truck driver was an Armenian by the name of Hrachya Harutyunyan. The impact was so powerful that the bus had split in two. The accident claimed 18 lives and injured 64 others. The court had Harutyunyan arrested on Monday. It is noteworthy that he was brought to the courtroom with a women’s robe.
