YEREVAN. – Russian Embassy in Armenia regrets over the fact that car crash which claimed lives of 18 people is used by certain people for inciting anti-Russian sentiments.
“We think the actions aimed at the use of the human tragedy for narrow political purposes and undermining the Russian-Armenian relations are inappropriate. Пoliticized evaluations are unacceptable. The tragedy near Podolsk has no national coloring, it will be investigated comprehensively, thoroughly and impartially, without emotions,” the Embassy said in a statement.
As informed earlier, a truck crashed into a passenger bus on July 13 outside Moscow, and it was found out that the truck driver was an Armenian citizen by the name of Hrachya Harutyunyan. The impact of the crash was so powerful that the bus had split in two. The accident claimed 18 lives and about 50 others were hospitalized. The court had Harutyunyan arrested on Monday. To note, he was brought to the courtroom with slippers and a women’s robe. Several protest actions were staged near the Russian Embassy in Yerevan.
