Forest restoration activities will be conducted in Armenia this year in an area of 400 hectares, the Agriculture Ministry’s Hayantar (Armforest) company official Armen Nalbandyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Along the lines of a German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) program, 200 hectares of forests are being restored nearby Aparan and Hrazdan cities.

With a World Wildlife Fund (WWF) program, 100 hectares of forests are being restored near Gugark and Noyemberyan cities.

Another 100 hectares of forests are being restored by the efforts of Vallex Group of Armenia.
