STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), or Artsakh, President Bako Sahakyan signed a decree.

In line with this order, the diplomatic rank of the NKR envoy extraordinary and minister plenipotentiary was conferred to a group of NKR Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), officers. They were conferred this rank in recognition of their consistent presentation of the interests and rights of Artsakh in international arena and in connection with the 20th anniversary of the NKR MFA, Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President informs. 

The recipients include: Albert Andryan, NKR Permanent Representative to the Russian Federation; Karlen Avetisyan, NKR Permanent Representative to the Republic of Armenia; and Hovhannes Gevorgyan, NKR Permanent Representative to the French Republic.

On the same day and pursuant to another Presidential decree, the “Gratitude” medal was awarded to Armine Aleksanyan, Head of Department of International Structures and Humanitarian Cooperation of the NKR MFA; Robert Avetisyan, NKR Permanent Representative to the United States of America and Canada; Semyon Afiyan, Secretary General-Head of NKR MFA Staff, and to several other diplomats.

The aforesaid award was presented to them in recognition of their productive work in the implementation of foreign and political functions and in connection with the 20th anniversary of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
