YEREVAN. – The Republican Party of Armenia has repeatedly called for a constructive dialogue among the political forces, much earlier than statementս made by Raffi Hovannisian, ruling party representative said.  

Eduard Sharmazanov, spokesperson for the ruling party, commented for Armenian News-NEWS.am to the statements voiced by Raffi Hovannisian.

During the Friday press conference, leader of opposition Heritage party called to hold a nationwide roundtable that will be open for all the political forces of Armenia.

In response, Sharmazanov noted that Armenian president, speaker and prime minister are supporting a dialogue. As to Hovannisian’s offer to conduct a revolution by means of “pan-Armenian movement,” Sharmazanov said our people carried out a revolution back in 1988.

“Now it is time for evolution and we all must act in the interests of the country. Armenia is faced with problems, but it is not on the verge of destruction. On the contrary, it is developing slowly,” he assured.
