YEREVAN. – The Rescue Service of Armenia received a call from a resident, on Monday at 3:33am, informing that he is preparing to set himself on fire in front of the National Assembly.
A firefighting team and a rescue squad were dispatched to the scene.
Telephonic link was reestablished with the caller, and it was found out that H. Zakaryan was in Armavir Region at the time.
As a result of the talk with the resident, however, it became possible to convince him not to resort to such measure.
