YEREVAN. – The Transport and Communication Ministry of Armenia received solely one petition so far to raise an interregional public transport fare, and this formal request was rejected.
Deputy Chief Davit Melkonyan of the ministry’s Department of Transportation told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.
He informed that the petition was submitted for the public transport route between capital city Yerevan and Shgharshik town in Aragatsotn Region. But the respective commission considered this request to be unfounded.
As a result, Transport and Communication Minister Gagik Beglaryan signed an order to reject the petition to increase the public transport fare of this route.
