YEREVAN. – Armenian Education Minister is happy to see the unity of the society in their struggle against transport fare hike.

“I am very pleased that the unity gives the city an additional charm. I envy those who have their own cars and those who can drive,” he told reporters commenting on “Free car” actions being held in Armenia’s capital.

He is confident that the Mayor of Yerevan and citizens will find common ground. However, the attempts to politicize the youth movement were inappropriate, Ashotyan added.

“Free car” movement spontaneously started a few days ago in response to the rise in transport fares. Car drivers slow down at the stops and offer people a ride.
