The participants demand the resignation of Mayor Taron Margaryan and several other officials.
The police are guarding the building while the city hall is continuing to water the sidewalk, to make the activists leave from in front of the building.
The activists, however, have petitioned to Police Chief Vladimir Gasparyan, and noted that if Margaryan does not order to stop watering the sidewalk and if Gasparyan does not secure the sit-in participants a sidewalk to carry out their action, the activists will have to carry out their protest on the street across the municipality building, thereby obstructing traffic.

The activists demand that the persons, who made the decision on raising the transport fares, be brought to account, and those officials, who used violence against and cursed at the activists, be punished.
