YEREVAN. – According to Paruyr Hayrikyan, the investigation, which was conducted into the assassination attempt against him, carried out a very good work.  

Opposition National Self-Determination Union Chairman, ex-presidential candidate Paruyr Hayrikyan himself stated the abovementioned during Monday’s press conference at the Yerablur Military Pantheon in capital city Yerevan.

“Specifically, they uncovered the circumstance of sending money—$100,000—from Russia to Vardan Sedrakyan [i.e., the ex-presidential candidate, non-party affiliate, and epic poetry specialist who is imprisoned and charged with organizing the murder attempt against Hayrikyan]. But for some reason they stopped at that and did not go further. In the meantime, it is accepted in the world that when there is an inexplicable crime, they always look to see who is funding [it],” Hayrikyan stressed.         

He also believes that the investigative body made a mistake by not collaborating with the Russian law enforcement in this respect.

“This is a serious mistake,” Paruyr Hayrikyan added.
