YEREVAN. – Some of Armenia’s socially disadvantaged groups will receive the right to free housing.

The Government on Thursday approved the list of such social groups,

Accordingly, children without parental care, families that are registered in the social security system—if they have a person under 18 years of age and are considered a “supporting family”—, single non-working pensioners, and one-parent families—if one of the spouses has died, or a single person has adopted a child—will receive the right to free housing in Armenia.

PM Tigran Sargsyan stated that the allocation of such housing should be at the focus of NGOs, to prevent misuse.
