YEREVAN. – Agriculture Minister Sergo Karapetyan on Friday received newly appointed Russian Ambassador to Armenia, Ivan Volinkin.
Congratulating the ambassador on starting his diplomatic mission in Armenia, the minister noted the traditional ties that exist between Armenia and Russia in agriculture, and he pointed to the achieved success in this domain, informs the Ministry of Agriculture press service.
In turn the newly-appoint ambassador noted that he followed with great enthusiasm the unprecedented volume of apricots that were imported into Russia from Armenia, and stated that the world’s tastiest apricots grow in Armenia. Volinkin also assured that he will try to be useful to Armenian-Russian cooperation.
Armenia’s agriculture minister informed the Russian ambassador that there are great expectations in cooperation in terms of modernizing the agricultural machinery.
