YEREVAN. – August 7, the Assyrian Genocide Day, reflects on the suffering of the Assyrians and the cruel conduct against them in the Ottoman Empire.    

Chairman Arsen Mikhaylov of the Assyrian Association of Armenia noted the abovementioned during a press conference on Monday.   

“We all need to speak out and inform humanity about those terrible phenomena that occur around us, since the genocide of the Assyrians does not stop to this day,” Mikhaylov stressed.    

He further informed that a commemoration ceremony will be held Wednesday in capital city Yerevan, at the memorial for the innocent victims of the Assyrian Genocide.   

To note, the World Assyrian Association has declared August 7 as Assyrian Genocide Day.
