YEREVAN. – Information was received, on Friday evening, that an accident had occurred on a highway in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan, and assistance was needed.  

A response team and a firefighting squad were dispatched to the scene, informs the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. 

It was found out that a VAZ 2106-model vehicle had gone off road and fallen into a construction pit.

Prior to the arrival of the fire and rescue squads, however, driver G. M. and passenger S. M., 56, were removed from the car with local efforts, and without sustaining injuries.
