YEREVAN. – The next event of the “Cleaner Yerevan” program was held Saturday at the forest-grove area of the Nor Nork district of the Armenian capital city.
In line with this program, which is an initiative of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan and includes volunteers, Saturday sanitary cleaning is carried out at the public green spaces of the city, since June 22.
About 400 volunteers, including Yerevan Council of Elders members, took part in Saturday’s sanitary cleaning at the Nor Nork district.
In addition, the area was irrigated with water trucks.
Yerevan Deputy Mayor Kamo Areyan got familiar with the activities on location and even joined the cleaning.
“Both NGO representatives and dozens of residents of the district are taking part in the activities; this shows their love and care toward the capital city,” Areyan stressed.
The next event of the “Cleaner Yerevan” program will be held on August 17, and in the surrounding area of Yerablur Military Pantheon.
