Forest Company of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) is preparing to export woolen thread to Russia, Company Director Irina Petrosyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The enterprise will start operations in September and it will manufacture woolen socks, too.

This project is a part of the program prepared by NKR Deputy PM Arthur Aghabekyan.

Two other companies will purchase thread from Forest.

Aside from Armenia and NKR, Russia likewise will serve as a market for the thread.

“We are helped by the fact that there is no woolen thread manufacturing plant in southern Russia and in Georgia and Armenia,” Petrosyan concluded.
