President of Latvia Andris Berzins called on the international community to work actively to prevent conflicts in post-Soviet area.

Addressing the 68th session of the UN General Assembly, Berzins said world community must participate in finding solution to the conflicts in Transnistrian, Nagorno-Karabakh and Georgia, RIA Novosti reported.

Latvian leaders called on Russia and Georgia to implement the 2008 arrangements adopted after “a five-day war.”
