The 2013 Euro-Asia Economic Forum opened on Thursday in Xi’an, the capital city of Shaanxi province.

Chinese high ranking officials, President of Afghanistan, Premier of Ukraine and other guests addressed the participants.

Armenia was represented by the Mayor of Gyumri Samvel Balasanyan who in his speech touched upon Armenia-China friendly relations, economic cooperation between the states and attractive areas for investments in Gyuumri.

Mayor Balasanyan held meetings with his colleagues representing the cities of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and China. The sides discussed cooperation formats and opportunities for exchange of experience.
