YEREVAN. – Migration rate may increase to some extent as a result of ratification of visa facilitation agreement with EU, sociologist believes.

Aharon Adibekyan is convinced that entering any European state is not a problem for Armenians.

“Since EU failed to involve Armenia in its sphere of influence, and the country stayed within the framework of Customs Union and Eurasian Union, they [EU] are doing their utmost to prove that they have not lost hope on Armenia,” he said.

Adibekyan noted that this is the first move on the way of convergence, adding that Armenians can get much from Europe, but we should also “produce technologies” which requires scientific potential and new educational institutions.

On Monday Armenian parliament ratified visa facilitation and readmission agreement with EU.
