YEREVAN. – Italy’s new Ambassador to Armenia, Giovanni Ricciulli, on Tuesday presented the copy of his credentials to Foreign Affairs Minister Edward Nalbandian.
Nalbandian noted that Armenian-Italian relations have millennia of history, informs the Armenian MFA press service. He wished the Ambassador success in his diplomatic mission in Armenia, and expressed the hope that the ambassador will contribute to the deepening of Armenian-Italian interaction. The FM added that the mutual trust between Armenia and Italy creates a solid foundation for new accomplishments.
In turn, Ambassador Ricciulli assured that he will do his utmost to develop Armenian-Italian cooperation.
Subsequently, Edward Nalbandian and Giovanni Ricciulli discussed Armenian-Italian bilateral ties, and also reflected on Armenia-European Union relations.
In addition, Nalbandian presented the latest developments in the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and the ongoing efforts by Armenia and the international community toward a pacific settlement to the conflict.
