YEREVAN. – Transportation of goods within Customs Union with the absence of common border is realistic, representative of Common Economic Commission Vladimir Kabakov told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In case of non-stop transportation of goods by air, customs procedures are not required, he said.

If the goods are transported through third countries by land, they must have the means of identification (for example, customs seal).

“The question of its safety is very important. If the seal is damaged, then the imported goods, for example, from the Kaliningrad region, fall under the same duty as the goods outside the Customs Union,” he explained.

Asked whether the seal is applied to oversize cargo, for example grain or cement, Kabakov noted that the means of identification are not limited to custom seal. This includes the detailed specification of cargo and its appearance, for example by a photo.

“In the case of machines, it is easier as any equipment usually has serial number,” representative of Common Economic Commission said.
