An Armenian man was killed in a mortar attack on Aleppo, the largest city in Syria.

Nazareth Tredjeyan was killed on December 17, Shahan Kandaharian, editor of Lebanese-Armenian Aztag daily, told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Kandaharian said from the morning the Syrian rebels opened intensive fire on the central districts of Aleppo.

“Five people were killed and over 70 wounded in a mortar attack. Among them is 62-year-old Nazareth Tredjeyan,” he noted.
