YEREVAN. – Russia is likely to provide Armenia with fertilizers at domestic prices, Chairman of Agrarian Peasant Union of Armenia told reporters.

Hrachya Berberyan noted that due to high export duties Russian fertilizers become unavailable for Armenian farmers.

“Do we need potash and phosphate fertilizers? Russia is producing large volume of high quality fertelizers,” Berberyan said.

He added that Armenia would not receive such benefits from the European integration.

“The European Union has the practice of subsidizing certain crops. But we would not be able to compete with subsidized products in the European market,” he resumed.
