YEREVAN. – No matter being included in which agency, the subdivisions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of Armenia will continue to perform their tasks.
Minister Armen Yeritsyan told the aforementioned to reporters, commenting on the government decision to combine the Ministries of Emergency Situations and Territorial Administration.
He noted that most of the MES agencies are stationed all over Armenia, and therefore the joint work can be organized without any major complications.
Asked whether he may head the combined ministry, Yeritsyan responded: “If such an offer is made, I’ll think about it.”
At Thursday’s Cabinet meeting, the Government of Armenia adopted a decision to join the Ministries of Emergency Situations and Territorial Administration, and, also, to create a new ministry: the Ministry of International Economic Integration and Reforms.
