Armenian National Assembly (NA) Vice-Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov, who is also Head of the NA Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (PA CSTO), delivered an address at Thursday’s meeting with the Russian President, Vladimir Putin.

“Several CSTO partners’ position in various international platforms, and with respect to the matters of key importance to the [CSTO] allies [of theirs], does not meet the CSTO’s spirit.

“I assume that these cases will remain in the past.

“A delay in making security decisions stems from the interests of those who have provoked tension.

“All this reaffirms that the role of the PA CSTO is at the realm of practical manifestations.

“In this regard, it is indispensable to focus our attention on the important issues such as manifesting a united position, basing on the priorities of allied commitments, and making accurate decisions and addressed statements,” Sharmazanov specifically noted in his remarks.
