YEREVAN. – The Fifth Plenary Session of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly will be convened in March 2015 in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan.
Armenian National Assembly (NA) Vice-Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov noted the above-said at Tuesday’s sixteenth session of the European Union (EU) Advisory Group in Armenia.
In his words, the Armenian parliament underscores cooperation with European organizations, in particular, with the EU.
“We appreciate the EU-assisted reforms [in Armenia]. Owing to the adopted legislative acts, our country has become more democratic,” Sharmazanov stressed.
He added that Armenia-European Parliament cooperation has become closer in recent years.
“The National Assembly of Armenia also highlights the importance of cooperation between the parliamentary factions; this cooperation will boost the expansion of reforms.
“Frankly, we have gone a long way, and we hope that our cooperation will continue in the future, too,” the NA deputy chair said.
Eduard Sharmazanov also stressed that the Armenian parliament underscores the continuation of discourse with the European Union.
