YEREVAN. - In 2015, the struggle for Armenia will intensify, said former Armenian envoy, Modus Vivendi think tank head Ara Papian, Armenian News - NEWS.am reports.

According to him, Armenia’s decision on the accession to the Russia-led Eurasian Economic Union has both great opportunities and threats.

“This decision contains many vague issues. I am sure, many of our partners and neighbors do not understand it. I do not have high expectations in connection with the Eurasian Economic Union as I think that the economic situation in Armenia will go down,” Papian said.

Armenia signed the Treaty of Accession to the Eurasian Economic Union (member states: Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan) on Oct. 10, 2014 in Minsk.
