YEREVAN. - The American national currency (USD) exchange rate against the Armenian dram (AMD) comprised AMD 433.68/$1 in Armenia on Tuesday, and this makes for an AMD 1.32 drop from the previous day.

On Monday, the dollar had increased by AMD 16.60 in Armenia, and this had caused panic in the country’s exchange offices and among the people.

The exchange rate for one euro was AMD 539.19 (down by AMD 0.34), that of one British pound was AMD 680.01 (down by AMD 0.33), and the rate of one Russian ruble was AMD 9.58 (down by AMD 0.12), informed the Central Bank of Armenia press service.

One gram of silver, gold, and platinum amounted to AMD 227.69, AMD 16,696.9, and AMD 17,038.51, respectively.

Tuesday’s trading totaled USD 7.4 million at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange, and the transactions were conducted at an average exchange rate of AMD 435.09/$1.
