Armenian bread Lavash has been included in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity during the Wednesday meeting of the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage committee.

“Lavash, the preparation, meaning and appearance of traditional bread as an expression of culture in Armenia” has been included in the list.

The Committee decided that this element satisfies the criteria for inscription on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The is the fourth cultural item presented by Armenia that is included in the list.
