Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group plan to visit the region in the near future, French Ambassador to Azerbaijan Pascal Meunier said.
The precise date and route of the visit are not reported, 1news.az reported. According to some data, the co-chairs will visit Nagorno-Karabakh and will hold meetings with the local leadership. The co-chairs may also participate in the OSCE monitoring.
Previous monitoring, despite attempts by the OSCE to visit the area of the downed Karabakh helicopter by Azerbaijani armed forces was conducted in a different direction because of the refusal of Baku to guarantee security. After that, the co-chairs issued a statement which indicated that the helicopter crashed on neutral territory. In response, followed by hysteria of Baku, the co-chairs retroactively changed the text of the statement, changing the word “neutral” to “no man's land”, thereby causing harm to their own authority.
