The President of France, François Hollande, will participate in the Armenian Genocide Centennial commemorations to be held on April 24 in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia.

French Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Romain Nadal stated the aforesaid.

“The President of the Republic [of France] will travel to Yerevan on April 24 to pay his tribute to the victims of the Armenian Genocide,” Nadal said at Wednesday’s press briefing.

He added, however, that cultural organizations and local authorities will hold various genocide remembrance events in France, too, reported RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.
