Jean-Marie Cavada, member of the European Parliament, is wearing a forget-me-not, the symbol of the Centennial of Armenian Genocide as a sign of solidarity.

In his speech at the European Parliament debate on the Centennial he expressed dissatisfaction with the condolences that Erdogan delivered.

Another member of the EU Parliament, Charles Tannock, spoke about the hostile policy of Turkey towards Armenians. He said the Centennial is a good opportunity for Turkey to to reach out and reopen the border as a gesture of good will.

Armenian diaspora seeks recognition, and Turkey seeks membership in EU, so let Turkey join the EU states, which have recognized the Armenian Genocide, Charles Tannock said.
