If U.S. president Barack Obama has used the word “genocide”, it could have been useful, President of Armenia Serzh Sarsgayn said during his visit to  to The Washington Post on Thursday.

President Sargsyan said he would not meet with his U.S. counterpart during the visit to Washington and gave a diplomatic on Obama's refusal to use the “G-word”.

“I think had he said it, it could have been useful,” Sargsyan said. “The United States should have put values over interests.”
