YEREVAN. – A contest of Chinese language “The Bridge of Chinese” was held in Yerevan on Friday.

The contest was organized by China's Embassy in Armenia and Confucius Institute at Yerevan State Linguistic University after V.Bryusov.

In his speech China's Ambassador to Armenia Tian Erlong said the relations between China and Armenia have a long history, and today the interest, especially in culture and languages, is increasing.

Eight participants had to deliver speeches in Chinese, make artistic presentation and answer the questions.

Ambassador Tian Erlong was among the juree members. The winner of the contest got the first prize – a trip to China where she will participate in the final stage of the contest.

The prizes and certificates were handed over by Armenian Deputy Speaker Herime Naghdalyan, Deputy FM Sergey Manasaryan, rector of the Yerevan State Linguistic University after V.Bryusov Gayane Gasparyan.
