YEREVAN. – We need to honor the memory of the Karabakh War heroes by strengthening our statehood.
Chairman of the opposition People’s Party of Armenia (PPA), Stepan Demirchyan, who is also member of the opposition Armenian National Congress bloc National Assembly Faction, told the above-said to Armenian News-NEWS.am.
“We must honor the memory of our heroes by strengthening our statehood, [and] making Armenia become a developed democratic and powerful country,” Demirchyan noted. “There are still a lot of work to do.”
The PPA leader also congratulated the Armenian nation on the May anniversaries.
On Saturday, May 9, 2015, Armenia marks the 23rd anniversary of the liberation of Shushi city in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, and the 70th anniversary of the then-Soviet peoples’ victory achieved in the Great Patriotic War during World War II.
