On occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, the Armenian community of Arizona and South American Diocese of the Armenia Apostolic Church presented the Scottsdale city community college with a sculpture dedicated to all the genocides.

The sculpture, made from tuff rock, contains elements of the culture of Armenians and American Indians. The idea belongs to Bishop Zacharia Saribekian, Gaspar Gharibyan being its sculptor. Before being taken to Arizona, the sculpture was consecrated at St. Leon Armenian Cathedral in California.

Scottsdale community college is located on the ground belonging to the aboriginal Americans. The traditional Armenian and Indian elements include the symbols of eternity, four corners of the Earth, elements of earth, fire, water and air, as well as the five continents, where genocides took place.
