YEREVAN. – The Minister of Nature Protection of Armenia, Aramayis Grigoryan, received a German government-owned KfW Development Bank delegation led by Eva Witt, Bank Director for Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia.
Grigoryan appreciated the KfW bank’s activities in the region and in Armenia, in particular.
“The Ministry of Nature Protection of Armenia highly praises the longstanding track-record of active and successful cooperation with the bank, and the tangible successes especially in projects aimed at assistance in preserving the biodiversity of the Caucasus,” the minister specifically noted.
Witt, for her part, thanked for the close cooperation and positive assessment, and reflected on the joint projects.
Grigoryan, in turn, highlighted the need for preserving Armenia’s rich biodiversity.
The parties also discussed matters with respect to effective management and use of the country’s water resources.
In addition, the interlocutors conferred on the prospects for cooperation on new projects, and expressed readiness to carry out respective active work.
