Officers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Revenue Service of Georgia have detained an Armenian citizen at the Sadakhlo Customs House, on the border with Armenia.

The detainee is Frunzik A․, who was born in 1947.

The inspection found out that the accused had transported into Georgia—and via the Sadakhlo border checkpoint—a weapon and ten bullets, which were removed from the car belonging to him.

The detainee has admitted his guilt.

An investigation is underway on charges of passing firearms through the border, and breaking the rules.
