YEREVAN. - Armenia’s Investigative Committee initiated a criminal case into the shooting incident in Yerevan.

According to the press-service of the agency, the incident took place yesterday on Yerevan’s Shiraz street. A group of young men quarreled, this growing into a scuffle and shooting. G.Asatryan (1986) was wounded by a knife during the incident.

Criminal case was opened under Article 112 (1) (Infliction of willful heavy damage to health), Article 258 (4) (Hooliganism committed with a weapon or another item used as a weapon) and Article 235 (1) (Illegal keeping or carrying of weapons).

Two shells were discovered at the site of the incident.
