YEREVAN. – Armenian oligarchs spend their summer holidays in one of France’s beautiful and expensive cities, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, which is near Monaco, the favorite of Armenian officials, reported Hraparak daily.  

“We have learned that they celebrated the 50th [birth] anniversary of [Moscow-based] billionaire, Tashir Group proprietor Samvel Karapetyan, in a luxurious seaside villa located in this city.

“We were able to verify that his godchild, oligarch MP Samvel Aleksanyan [a.k.a. Lfik Samo], PAP [i.e. opposition Prosperous Armenia Party] former leader [and oligarch MP] Gagik Tsarukyan, Transport [and Communication] Minister Gagik Beglaryan, birthday celebrator’s brother Karen Karapetyan, [and several] other officials attended the [birth] anniversary of the billionaire.

“Yesterday, on [Wednesday,] August 19, Tsarukyan’s in-law, Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, together with his children and grandchildren, went on vacation also abroad, especially to France. 

“Incidentally, it was Lfik’s birthday on August 19, and they celebrated his 47th [birthday] in Monaco,” wrote Hraparak.
