STEPANAKERT. – The Azerbaijani side violated the ceasefire on the line of contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces around 900 times, from August 16 to 22.

During this time, Azerbaijan fired more than 16,000 shots in the direction of the Karabakh military positions from rifle weaponry, mine throwers and grenade launchers, reported the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Defense Army.

As a result of operational measures taken by vanguard units of the NKR Defense Army, however, the “activeness” by the adversary was quelled.
