Well-known Russian businessman German Sterligov—who had moved to the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR; Artsakh) with his wife and children—will submit a complaint against Azerbaijan to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), and in connection with the Azerbaijani authorities’ actions against him.
The businessman’s attorney, Arthur Airapetov, told the aforesaid to REN TV of Russia. In his words, Sterligov plans to petition to the ECHR on August 26.
The attorney added that, after Azerbaijan’s decision on banning Sterligov entry to this country, Baku’s launching a criminal case against his client is an “absurdity in international law.”
Airapetov had earlier informed that the INTERPOL has stopped the search for this Russian businessmen. In his words, the search was stopped because the INTERPOL had seen political motives in Baku’s search for German Sterligov.
