YEREVAN. – The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations of Armenia received a report on Thursday at 6:11am.

Accordingly, a house was on fire in capital city Yerevan.

Four fire and rescue squads were dispatched to the scene.

Prior to the fire and rescue workers’ arrival at the scene, however, the resident of the house, S. G., 62, who previously had heart problems, had died while trying to put out the fire.

It was found out that the fire had started at the gold workshop nearby the house.

The fire was extinguished at 7:24am.

But the workshop, along with its furniture (45 square meters), was destroyed by the fire.
