Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite signed the law on the permanent conscription, the official website of the Lithuanian president reported.
The president checked the bill with the State Defense Council.
Grybauskaite decided that from 3.5 to 4 thousand people must be called to the compulsory military service each year, Gazeta reported quoting the press service of the head of state.
