MINSK. - During the inter-MFA consultations in Minsk, Belarusian and Russian diplomats discussed the situation in the European region and the prospects for the cooperation of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) with other unions and projects, Belarusian MFA press-service reported Tuesday. 

At the consultations, the Belarusian delegation was headed by the chief of the MFA Foreign Policy Analysis Department Vyacheslav Kachanov, the Russian one being represented by Head of MFA Foreign Policy Department Oleg Stepanov.

“The subsequent round of the regular Belarusian-Russian inter-MFA consultations on issues of foreign policy analysis and planning took place on June 21 in Minsk,” the statement reads.

The agency informed that the participants “discussed the situation in the European region, implementation of the integration initiatives in the post-Soviet area and perspectives for linking the EAEU with other unions and projects, as well as a number of other topics of mutual interest.”

According to the press-service, the sides exchanged opinions on a wide range of issues, including global and regional challenges, RIA Novosti reports.
