On July 5 in Tbilisi within the frameworks of the 25th session of the OSCE the Austrian MP Christine Muttonen was elected at the president of the  OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. She will hold her office until 2017 , reports the correspondent of the Armenian News-NEWS.am from Tbilisi.

86 deputies voted in favor of her candidacy. Georgi Tsereteli, a Georgian MP, claimed for that position as well, but he collected 73 votes.

The head of the Armenian delegation in the OSCE PA Artashes Geghamyan said Muttonen has an objective and fair approach to conflicts , and her work will be effective . Aleknaite Abramkiene, a Lithuanian MP with 102 votes, Victor Dobrin , a Moldovan MP with 96 votes, Azay Guliyev, an Azerbaijani MP with 119 votes, Isabella Santos, a Portuguese MP with 120 votes were elected as the OSCE PA Vice-Presidents. Santos Guliyev and Abramkienen will occupy their positions until the end of 2019.
