YEREVAN. – The Republican Party of Armenia, the party which has majority in the Armenian parliament, welcomes the phone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Barack Obama, said Deputy Speaker of the Armenian parliament Eduard Sharmazanov.

“It became clear that the two leaders have similar positions.  The opinion that Russia and U.S. have contradictions on Karabakh proved to be wrong at least in the official statement. The leaders support peaceful settlement of the conflict,” Sharmzanov told reporters.
