The members of working group on people of African descents in the UN, condemned the murders of African Americans in the United States by the police. They urged the authorities not to close an eye on the incident , thoroughly investigate the incidents , punish, and eradicate the racism in the country, reports the UN News Center .

“The Working Group [of Experts on People of African Descent] is outraged and strongly condemns the new police killings of two African-American men…. There is no justification for such violence. Those responsible compounded the suffering that many in the United States feel following the killing of two African-American men over two days. Those killings must be the subject of a thorough and impartial investigation,” reads the statement of the spokesman.

The statement also reads that the murders of African Americans are an evidence of structural and institutional racism in the US. Human rights activists have consistently urged the United States to review national policies and achieve universal recognition of the fact that black Americans lives has the same value as the lives of all other US citizens.
