Russia does not pose an immediate threat to NATO, the Alliance's Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stated at the press conference after a summit meeting on Afghanistan.

According to him, the Alliance does not see any direct threat from Russia in direction of any of NATO member states.

He noted that they are not in a strategic partnership with Russia, which they tried to achieve after the Cold War. Now they are in a new situation, which differs from what they have ever experienced earlier, TASS reported.
