YEREVAN. – France supports the Armenia-European Union (EU) rapprochement process, French Ambassador to Armenia Jean-François Charpentier said at a press conference on Tuesday. 

Reflecting on the query regarding the ongoing Armenia-EU talks, the French diplomat noted, however, that it is still unknown what this document will be called, and that its text is still subject to talks.

“The fourth round of [Armenia-EU] negotiations took place just ten days ago,” added Ambassador Charpentier. “The negotiations are held quite successfully. Both sides are determined to achieve an ambitious agreement. France has always contributed to a similar process, and wanted the document to be ambitious and solid.”
